I learned an overwhelming lesson from a young child today. I first met John Valentine last October during our first annual Halos and Heroes (H&H) awareness and fundraiser for Air Compassion for Veterans (ACV). ACV provides free medically-related air transportation to qualified wounded warriors and their adversely affected family members when no other help is available.

Brave New Foundation will hold a special sneak preview screening of “We Regret to Inform You,” one of the latest installments in our weekly web series, IN THEIR BOOTS.
This episode focuses on a group of widows whose husbands were killed while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the widows, Taryn Davis, 22, lost her husband, Army Cpl. Michael W. Davis, after an IED exploded by his vehicle in Iraq.
