Jacob’s Light Foundation alerted us to a very important legislation that will be introduced on September 9th.

When a service member of veteran is buried at a National Cemetery their spouse or dependents is given the honor of being able to be buried alongside their loved one. However, many of the men and women who give the ultimate sacrifice do so without the love and support of children or spouses. Instead they leave behind mourning parents who should also be allowed the honor of burial alongside their loved one.

Rep. Steve Israel will soon introduce legislation on September 9th which would allow a parent to be buried with their child in their grave, only if there is no spouse or dependant, and would require no additional space since the burial spot is already present. Please join us in support and contact your representatives to ask for their support of this bill.
